Kalaburagi Man Loses Over Rs 1 Lakh To Internet Customer Care Scam

A resident of Kalaburagi has lost over Rs 1 lakh to a cyber fraudster posing as an internet customer care representative. The victim, Ravi Kumar Rudra, searched online for a customer care number after his home internet speed declined. He called a number found online, and the fraudster sent him a malicious link to remotely increase the speed. After clicking the link and sharing his screen, Rs 1,04,000 was siphoned from his bank accounts. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the incident.

कलबुर्गी के एक निवासी ने इंटरनेट कस्टमर केयर प्रतिनिधि बनकर आए एक साइबर ठग के हाथों 1 लाख रुपये से ज़्यादा गंवा दिए। पीड़ित, रवि कुमार रुद्रा, ने अपने घर के इंटरनेट की स्पीड कम होने के बाद ऑनलाइन कस्टमर केयर नंबर खोजा। उन्होंने ऑनलाइन मिला एक नंबर डायल किया, और ठग ने स्पीड बढ़ाने के लिए उन्हें एक दुर्भावनापूर्ण लिंक भेजा। लिंक पर क्लिक करने और अपनी स्क्रीन शेयर करने के बाद, उनके बैंक खातों से 1,04,000 रुपये निकाल लिए गए। पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और घटना की जांच शुरू कर दी है।
