An Argentinian federal judge has dismissed a criminal investigation into President Javier Milei and his sister Karina Milei concerning the collapse of a cryptocurrency they promoted. Judge Marcelo Martinez de Giorgi ruled that the events did not constitute a criminal offense, stating that investor losses and currency fluctuations were insufficient to prove fraud. The investigation stemmed from Milei's February 2025 recommendation of the $Libra token, which later crashed. The presidential office declared this a vindication of the President's innocence.
