Tim Cook revealed the key advice Steve Jobs gave him before handing over the CEO role at Apple: "Never ask what I would do, just do the right thing." Jobs encouraged Cook to forge his own path, preventing the company from becoming paralyzed by attempts to replicate his leadership style. This advice stemmed from Jobs' observation of Disney's paralysis after its founder Walt Disney's death. Cook stated that Jobs wanted to ensure Apple did not suffer the same fate, allowing him to be the best version of himself.
