तेलंगाना के मुख्यमंत्री रेवंत रेड्डी ने राहुल गांधी को प्रधानमंत्री बनाने की मांग की है। उन्होंने कहा कि पिछड़ा वर्ग (backward class) को न्याय और देश की प्रगति के लिए उनका नेतृत्व बहुत ज़रूरी है। रेड्डी ने यह बात पिछड़ा वर्ग अधिकारों से जुड़े पांडुगा सयाना मुदिराज के सम्मान समारोह के दौरान कही। उन्होंने यह भी ऐलान किया कि मुदिराज समुदाय की BC-A दर्जे की मांग पर गौर करने के लिए एक कैबिनेट उप-समिति बनाई जाएगी। सरकार सभी पिछड़ा वर्ग समुदायों के राजनीतिक प्रतिनिधित्व को मज़बूत करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है और आरक्षण के लाभों पर विशेषज्ञों से सलाह ले रही है।
