TV9 Hindi · india

Authorities have requested Google Maps to display the Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway as closed due to ongoing farmer protests. Farmers began demonstrating morning near the Maharashtra-Karnataka border, demanding better prices for sugarcane and ethanol, among other issues. This has significantly impacted traffic flow on the busy National Highway 48. Police are advising travelers to use alternative routes and have formally written to Google Maps to update its navigation data. The situation remains unchanged, with authorities expecting delays in normalization and will inform Google once traffic resumes.
