West Bengal Solar Rooftop Installations Surge Nearly 7 Times Post State Govt Change

Solar rooftop installations in West Bengal have surged by nearly seven times since May 2026, following a change in the state government. The total subsidy released for the state has also increased more than eightfold. Previously, West Bengal had only 1,477 installations and ₹4.21 crore in subsidies by April 30, 2026. However, by October 15, 2026, installations reached 10,146 with ₹34.62 crore in subsidies.

राज्य सरकार में बदलाव के बाद पश्चिम बंगाल में सौर रूफटॉप इंस्टॉलेशन लगभग सात गुना बढ़ गए हैं। राज्य के लिए जारी की गई कुल सब्सिडी भी आठ गुना से अधिक बढ़ गई है। पहले, 30 अप्रैल 2026 तक पश्चिम बंगाल में केवल 1,477 इंस्टॉलेशन और ₹4.21 करोड़ की सब्सिडी थी। हालांकि, 15 अक्टूबर 2026 तक, सब्सिडी के रूप में ₹34.62 करोड़ के साथ इंस्टॉलेशन 10,146 तक पहुंच गए।
