Varanasi Temple Name Changed From 'Pakistaneshwar' To 'Sindhu Gangeshwar'

A Shiva temple in Varanasi, previously known as 'Pakistaneshwar Mahadev', has had its name changed to 'Sindhu Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple' following objections from the Sindhi community and local residents. The Sindhi community stated that the name 'Pakistaneshwar' did not align with their historical identity or the Ganga-Jamuni culture of Kashi. The temple's history is linked to Sindhi families who migrated from East Bengal during the partition, bringing a Shivling with them.
