The West Bengal government has partnered with the French Embassy to restore Chandannagar's colonial-era heritage and boost tourism. The project begins with renovating the French-era Registry Building, the former administrative hub. Chandannagar, a historic French settlement, boasts significant architectural heritage. A 'French festival' will be held annually to celebrate the India-France partnership, preserving the town's unique Indo-French structures and promoting cultural exchange.
