US Investigates Over 400 Suspected Noncitizens Registered to Vote in Washington

US federal investigators have identified over 400 suspected noncitizens registered to vote in Washington state, with approximately 1,500 instances of ballots cast across multiple elections. Homeland Security Investigations and federal partners are investigating allegations of unlawful voting to protect election integrity. Some individuals identified were green card holders who claimed registration occurred without their knowledge. The Department of Justice has asked Washington state to set aside ballots cast by these individuals until their citizenship status is confirmed.
