Delhi PGs: 2,453 Running, Only 730 Maps Verified

Following a fatal building collapse, Delhi's paying guest (PG) accommodation system faces scrutiny. A recent survey by the MCD identified 2,453 PG buildings housing an estimated 50,529 people across 12 zones. However, only 730 of these buildings have verified building plans, and just 512 comply with the Master Plan. While 1,723 PGs are not yet confirmed illegal, their status remains uncertain. The survey also found four buildings in dangerous condition, requiring urgent repairs.

दिल्ली में एक बिल्डिंग गिरने से हुई मौत के बाद, वहां के पेइंग गेस्ट (PG) आवासों की जांच हो रही है। MCD की एक रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, 12 ज़ोन में करीब 50,529 लोग 2,453 PG बिल्डिंग्स में रह रहे हैं। इनमें से सिर्फ 730 बिल्डिंग्स के प्लान वेरिफाइड हैं और 512 ही मास्टर प्लान के हिसाब से बनी हैं। 1,723 PG की स्थिति अभी साफ नहीं है, वे अवैध भी हो सकते हैं। चार बिल्डिंग्स खतरनाक हालत में हैं, जिन्हें तुरंत ठीक करना होगा।
