Election Commission of India data reveals that the five West Bengal constituencies with the most voter deletions during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) ahead of the 2026 assembly election were all won by the Trinamool Congress (TMC). These seats are primarily in Malda and Murshidabad districts. The state recorded its highest-ever turnout of 93.71%, surpassing Tripura's 2013 record. Despite opposition allegations of 'vote chori' and protests, officials stated the revision was a necessary exercise for an accurate voter roll.
