32 Tribal Girls Walk 16 Km To Report Poor Food, Infra At Hostel

Thirty-two tribal girls from Madhya Pradesh's Shahdol district walked 16 km to report poor food quality and infrastructure issues at their students' hostel. The students, studying in classes 9 to 11, left their hostel at 4 am to reach the collector's office. They complained about tasteless food, lack of proper toilets, and the hostel operating from a rented space. In response, the state tribal welfare department suspended both hostel superintendents immediately and issued notices to other officials. The girls will not face disciplinary action for their protest.

मध्य प्रदेश के शहडोल जिले की 32 आदिवासी लड़कियों ने अपने छात्र छात्रावास में खाने की खराब गुणवत्ता और बुनियादी ढांचे की समस्याओं की रिपोर्ट करने के लिए 16 किमी पैदल चलीं। कक्षा 9 से 11 में पढ़ने वाली छात्राओं ने कलेक्टर कार्यालय पहुँचने के लिए सुबह 4 बजे अपना छात्रावास छोड़ दिया। उन्होंने बेस्वाद भोजन, उचित शौचालयों की कमी और किराए के स्थान से संचालित होने वाले छात्रावास के बारे में शिकायत की। इसके जवाब में, राज्य के जनजातीय कल्याण विभाग ने दोनों छात्रावास अधीक्षकों को तुरंत निलंबित कर दिया और अन्य अधिकारियों को नोटिस जारी किया। लड़कियों को उनके विरोध के लिए किसी भी अनुशासनात्मक कार्रवाई का सामना नहीं करना पड़ेगा।
