BJD Leader Bikram Panda Quizzed Over Witness Threat in Advocate Murder Case

Police in Berhampur quizzed former MLA Bikram Panda for four hours on Tuesday regarding allegations of threatening a witness in the murder of senior advocate Pitabash Panda. The threat was reportedly made from the mobile phone of the jail doctor. A case was lodged against Panda, an associate, and the jail doctor based on a complaint. Panda, who was out on bail after serving ten months in jail for the murder, stated he answered all questions truthfully.

बेरहमपुर पुलिस ने मंगलवार को पूर्व विधायक बिक्रम पांडा से वरिष्ठ वकील पीतांबर पांडा की हत्या के मामले में गवाह को धमकाने के आरोपों को लेकर चार घंटे तक पूछताछ की। धमकी कथित तौर पर जेल डॉक्टर के मोबाइल फोन से दी गई थी। शिकायत के आधार पर पांडा, एक सहयोगी और जेल डॉक्टर के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया गया था। हत्या के आरोप में दस महीने जेल में बिताने के बाद जमानत पर बाहर आए पांडा ने कहा कि उन्होंने सभी सवालों का सच-सच जवाब दिया।
