Tamil Nadu Announces Special Bus Services and Temporary Terminals for Festival Rush

Tamil Nadu has announced plans to operate additional special buses and utilize temporary terminals to manage the upcoming Ayudha Pooja and Deepavali festival rush. Minister A Vijay Tamilan Parthiban outlined measures to decongest Chennai, including auxiliary termini alongside the Kilambakkam bus terminus. Kilambakkam will serve as the main hub for many southern routes, while other temporary stands will handle services to specific destinations. The government is also monitoring private bus fares and has requested special train services from Southern Railway to provide affordable travel options.
