India Told China Strained Ties Hurt Both

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stated that India had repeatedly informed China that strained bilateral relations would not benefit either nation. He noted that prolonged tensions following the 2020 border clash had significantly impacted ties. Jaishankar mentioned that it took China some time to agree with India's position, but the resolution of the border standoff has led to an improvement in relations. He also observed a global shift towards multipolarity, with countries engaging multiple powers simultaneously.

विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर ने कहा कि भारत ने चीन को बार-बार बताया है कि द्विपक्षीय संबंधों में आई तल्खी से दोनों देशों को कोई फायदा नहीं होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि 2020 में सीमा पर हुई झड़प के बाद लंबे समय से चले आ रहे तनाव का रिश्तों पर काफी असर पड़ा है। जयशंकर ने बताया कि चीन को भारत की बात मानने में कुछ समय लगा, लेकिन सीमा पर गतिरोध सुलझने से रिश्तों में सुधार आया है। उन्होंने यह भी देखा कि दुनिया बहुध्रुवीयता की ओर बढ़ रही है, जिसमें देश एक साथ कई शक्तियों से जुड़ रहे हैं।
