Telangana Minister Blames BRS For El Nino Drought Impact

Telangana Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has accused the previous BRS government of exacerbating drought conditions caused by El Nino due to faulty construction of Kaleshwaram Project barrages. He stated that the BRS leaders are spreading misinformation to cover up their mistakes in the construction of Medigadda, Annaram, and Sundilla barrages. Reddy highlighted that the National Dam Safety Authority's study confirmed poor designs and construction, and that the Congress government had achieved record paddy production without relying on these barrages.
