Hindustan Times · world
India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar strongly criticised disruptions in global oil supplies, stating that deliberate attacks on energy trade and infrastructure are a calculated strategy to hold prices hostage. Speaking at the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting, he highlighted that the world faces an energy crisis driven by unpredictability, disruption, and unaffordable costs, rather than production issues. Jaishankar emphasised the need for G20 leadership to maintain open and predictable energy markets, noting the increasing frequency and impact of obstacles like sanctions.
