Coimbatore Corporation Launches Monsoon Medical Camps; 1,813 Screened

The Coimbatore corporation has initiated a six-day special medical camp drive across the city following recent heavy rainfall. On the first day, 1,813 individuals received medical assistance at 33 locations. Nine people were diagnosed with fever and referred for further tests. The camps aim to prevent monsoon-related infections by providing preventive healthcare, distributing ORS, and checking water quality. Health officials are advising residents to consume boiled water and avoid contaminated sources to prevent water-borne diseases and mosquito breeding.

हाल की भारी बारिश के बाद कोयंबटूर निगम ने पूरे शहर में छह दिवसीय विशेष चिकित्सा शिविर अभियान शुरू किया है। पहले दिन 33 स्थानों पर 1,813 लोगों को चिकित्सा सहायता मिली। नौ लोगों में बुखार का पता चला और उन्हें आगे की जांच के लिए भेजा गया। इन शिविरों का उद्देश्य निवारक स्वास्थ्य सेवा प्रदान करना, ओआरएस वितरित करना और पानी की गुणवत्ता की जांच करके मानसून से संबंधित संक्रमणों को रोकना है। स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी जल-जनित बीमारियों और मच्छरों के प्रजनन को रोकने के लिए निवासियों को उबला हुआ पानी पीने और दूषित स्रोतों से बचने की सलाह दे रहे हैं।
