बीजेडी अध्यक्ष नवीन पटनायक ने ओडिशा में माइंस एंड मिनरल्स (डेवलपमेंट एंड रेगुलेशन) अमेंडमेंट एक्ट 2026 के कार्यान्वयन के खिलाफ एकजुट लड़ाई का आह्वान किया है। उन्होंने केंद्र और राज्य सरकार पर एक्ट के वित्तीय निहितार्थों के प्रति कथित उदासीनता का आरोप लगाया। पटनायक ने ओडिशा के बीजेपी सांसदों और राज्य सरकार की चुप्पी पर सवाल उठाया, यह कहते हुए कि एक्ट से सालाना हजारों करोड़ का नुकसान हो सकता है। उन्होंने ओडिशा के अधिकारों और संसाधनों की रक्षा के लिए सभी राजनीतिक दलों से एक्ट का विरोध करने में शामिल होने का आग्रह किया।
