Man Dies By Suicide After Losing Family

A 55-year-old shopkeeper in Mahoba died by suicide on Sunday night, police reported. The man, identified as Rajendra Singh, was found with a country-made pistol. Villagers discovered him in a pool of blood on Monday morning. His elder brother told police that Rajendra had been depressed and consuming alcohol excessively after his younger son died by suicide eight years ago and his wife passed away five years ago. He had previously survived two suicide attempts.

रविवार रात को महोबा में एक 55 वर्षीय दुकानदार ने कथित तौर पर आत्महत्या कर ली, पुलिस ने यह जानकारी दी। राजेंद्र सिंह नाम के इस व्यक्ति के पास से एक देसी कट्टा मिला। सोमवार सुबह ग्रामीणों ने उसे खून से लथपथ पाया। उसके बड़े भाई ने पुलिस को बताया कि आठ साल पहले उसके छोटे बेटे की आत्महत्या और पांच साल पहले पत्नी की मौत के बाद से राजेंद्र डिप्रेशन में था और बहुत ज्यादा शराब पी रहा था। वह पहले भी दो बार आत्महत्या की कोशिश कर चुका था, लेकिन बच गया था।
