Lando Norris has apologised to McLaren after a last-lap collision with teammate Oscar Piastri ended their hopes of a podium finish at the Singapore Grand Prix sprint. The incident occurred as Norris attempted to pass Piastri while both drivers were closing on Charles Leclerc. Norris clipped Piastri's rear tyre, sending both cars spinning. Norris finished eighth to secure the final point, while Piastri retired. This crash was one of nine retirements, setting a new F1 sprint record. Max Verstappen won the sprint race.
