A Guntur court has sentenced Bharavath Tava to life imprisonment for the murder of his wife, Bharavath Roopa, in Motadaka village in April 2024. Tava attacked his wife with a stone, suspecting her conduct, causing severe injuries. She succumbed to her wounds on April 21, 2024, at a Guntur hospital. The court also imposed a ₹1,000 fine, with an additional three months imprisonment for non-payment. Police officials were commended for their effective prosecution leading to the conviction.
