Rajkummar Rao's courtroom drama, Prahaar: The Ujjwal Nikam Story, has opened to a lukewarm response at the box office, collecting ₹2.35 crore on its first day. The film, based on the life of public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam and the trial of Ajmal Kasab, recorded an average occupancy of 13% nationwide. While it surpassed the opening collections of Srikanth and Badhaai Do, it fell short of other Rajkummar Rao films like Roohi and Mr & Mrs Mahi. The movie's worldwide gross collection stands at ₹3.52 crore.
