Royal Challengers Bengaluru's batting coach Dinesh Karthik believes the IPL Impact Player rule should remain until the end of the current cycle in 2027. He argued that removing the rule mid-cycle would be unfair to franchises that have already selected their squads with the rule in mind. While acknowledging the rule has lost some of its initial charm and may have hindered India's development of all-rounders, Karthik stressed the importance of consistency in playing conditions.
