Times of India · sports
India's para-athletes are set to compete in the fifth Asian Para Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, starting October 18. A contingent of 166 athletes across 10 disciplines will aim to replicate their record-breaking performance from Hangzhou 2023, where they secured 108 medals. This year's team includes Paralympic medallists and world champions like Sheetal Devi and Pramod Bhagat. Despite a smaller contingent compared to the previous edition, India's consistent improvement in para-sports offers optimism for another strong medal haul. The event runs until October 24.
