Zydus-Sunshine JV to Invest $20 Million in Sri Lanka Pharma Plant

A joint venture between Zydus Lifesciences and Sunshine Healthcare, named Zydus Sunshine Lifesciences, has signed an agreement with Sri Lanka’s Board of Investment. The pact is to establish a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility within the BOI zone in Horana. This project represents an investment of $20 million and will be spread across nearly four acres. Commercial operations are anticipated to begin in 2028, pending project timelines and regulatory approvals.
