The DMK has passed a resolution demanding the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, citing alleged irregularities in the special intensive revision (SIR) exercise. The party also resolved to support student organisations protesting against the CEC and the SIR process. DMK MPs accused the Congress and TVK of exhibiting "double standards" by criticising the exercise in some states but remaining silent on others. The party further called for the restoration of ballot paper voting and an inquiry into the CEC's conduct.

डीएमके ने मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार को हटाने की मांग करते हुए एक प्रस्ताव पारित किया है, जिसमें विशेष गहन संशोधन (SIR) अभ्यास में कथित अनियमितताओं का हवाला दिया गया है। पार्टी ने छात्र संगठनों द्वारा सीईसी और एसआईआर प्रक्रिया के खिलाफ किए जा रहे विरोध प्रदर्शनों का समर्थन करने का भी संकल्प लिया। डीएमके सांसदों ने कांग्रेस और टीवीके पर "दोहरे मापदंड" अपनाने का आरोप लगाया, जिन्होंने कुछ राज्यों में इस अभ्यास की आलोचना की लेकिन दूसरों पर चुप्पी साधे रखी। पार्टी ने आगे मतपत्र से मतदान बहाल करने और सीईसी के आचरण की जांच की मांग की।
