Punjab's housing department revoked concessions worth nearly ₹40 crore granted to Delhi-based Remigate Buildestates. The Enforcement Directorate subsequently arrested promoter Jagmohan Garg at Delhi airport in connection with a money-laundering probe into alleged land deal irregularities. The investigation focuses on the allotment of a prime commercial site in Mohali and subsequent concessions by GMADA. The state housing department cited the need to protect public revenue and ensure fair treatment of auction participants. GMADA must now calculate outstanding dues, including interest and penalties, for Remigate to clear.

पंजाब के आवास विभाग ने दिल्ली स्थित रेमिगेट बिल्डएस्टैट्स को दी गई लगभग ₹40 करोड़ की छूट रद्द कर दी है। इसके बाद प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) ने कथित भूमि सौदे की अनियमितताओं में मनी-लॉन्डरिंग जांच के सिलसिले में दिल्ली हवाई अड्डे पर प्रमोटर जगमोहन गर्ग को गिरफ्तार किया। जांच मोहाली में एक प्रमुख व्यावसायिक स्थल के आवंटन और जीएमएडीए द्वारा बाद में दी गई छूट पर केंद्रित है। राज्य आवास विभाग ने सार्वजनिक राजस्व की रक्षा करने और नीलामी प्रतिभागियों के साथ निष्पक्ष व्यवहार सुनिश्चित करने की आवश्यकता का हवाला दिया। अब जीएमएडीए को रेमिगेट द्वारा भुगतान की जाने वाली बकाया राशि की गणना करनी होगी, जिसमें ब्याज और जुर्माना भी शामिल है।
