Marvel's Wolverine was the best-selling video game in the US for September, achieving the highest launch-month dollar sales for a Sony-published title since Helldivers II. This success coincided with a significant 43% year-on-year increase in PlayStation 5 hardware spending in the US. Eight of the top ten best-selling games were new releases, including NBA 2K27 and EA Sports FC 27. NBA 2K27 also became the best-selling game of 2026 year-to-date in the US, surpassing Resident Evil: Requiem.
