Worli Residents Demand Action After Fatal Coastal Road

Following a fatal accident on Mumbai's Coastal Road, over 600 Worli residents have petitioned authorities for a coordinated plan to address speeding, traffic violations, and noise pollution. They are calling for increased traffic patrols, speed monitoring, CCTV enforcement, and stricter penalties for repeat offenders. The residents also highlighted issues with reckless driving, loud exhausts, and violations by delivery riders, urging specific interventions at Lotus Junction and Worli Naka.

मुंबई की कोस्टल रोड पर एक जानलेवा हादसे के बाद, 600 से ज़्यादा वर्ली के निवासियों ने अधिकारियों से तेज़ रफ़्तार, ट्रैफिक नियमों के उल्लंघन और शोर-शराबे से निपटने के लिए एक योजना की मांग की है। वे ज़्यादा ट्रैफिक पुलिस, स्पीड कैमरे, CCTV से निगरानी और बार-बार नियम तोड़ने वालों के लिए सख़्त सज़ा चाहते हैं। निवासियों ने बेपरवाह ड्राइविंग, तेज़ साइलेंसर और डिलीवरी राइडर्स द्वारा नियम तोड़ने की समस्या भी बताई है, खासकर लोटस जंक्शन और वर्ली नाका पर।
