Rishikesh Murder Victim's Parents Detained At Raj Ghat

The parents of a 19-year-old receptionist murdered in Rishikesh in 2022 were detained by Delhi Police at Raj Ghat on Wednesday evening. They had gone to offer prayers for justice for their daughter. The father alleged police forcibly dragged them into a van, ignoring his wife's deteriorating health and requests for medical aid. He stated they were not there to protest but sought solace after repeated disappointments in their pursuit of justice. Police eventually took them to Burari hospital after the father threatened to jump from the vehicle.

ऋषिकेश में 2022 में हुई 19 वर्षीय रिसेप्शनिस्ट की हत्या के माता-पिता को बुधवार शाम को दिल्ली पुलिस ने राज घाट पर हिरासत में ले लिया। वे अपनी बेटी के लिए न्याय की प्रार्थना करने गए थे। पिता ने आरोप लगाया कि पुलिस ने उनकी पत्नी की बिगड़ती सेहत और मेडिकल सहायता की गुहार को नजरअंदाज करते हुए उन्हें जबरन एक वैन में घसीटा। उन्होंने कहा कि वे विरोध करने नहीं गए थे, बल्कि न्याय की तलाश में बार-बार निराशा मिलने के बाद सांत्वना चाहते थे। पिता द्वारा गाड़ी से कूदने की धमकी देने के बाद पुलिस आखिरकार उन्हें बुराड़ी अस्पताल ले गई।
