Farmers Protest in Patiala Seeking Arrest of Accused in Girl’s Throat-Slitting Case

Farmers under the Samyukt Kisan Morcha staged a protest outside the SDM office in Patiala, demanding the immediate arrest of individuals involved in a knife attack on a three-year-old girl. The protesters alleged that police had failed to apprehend anyone more than 10 days after the incident. The girl's father, Gurvinder Singh, claimed he was robbed and then attacked, resulting in his daughter's severe throat injury. Officials assured the protesters that arrests would be made soon, leading to the end of the demonstration.

सयुंक्त किसान मोर्चा के बैनर तले किसानों ने पटियाला में SDM दफ्तर के बाहर प्रदर्शन किया। वे तीन साल की बच्ची पर चाकू से हमले के आरोपियों की तुरंत गिरफ्तारी की मांग कर रहे थे। प्रदर्शनकारियों का आरोप था कि घटना के 10 दिन से ज्यादा बीत जाने के बाद भी पुलिस ने किसी को गिरफ्तार नहीं किया है। बच्ची के पिता गुरविंदर सिंह ने दावा किया कि पहले उन्हें लूटा गया और फिर हमला किया गया, जिससे उनकी बेटी के गले पर गंभीर चोट आई। अधिकारियों ने प्रदर्शनकारियों को जल्द गिरफ्तारी का आश्वासन दिया, जिसके बाद धरना समाप्त हो गया।
