Two Workers Killed In Soil Collapse During Farm Well Construction In Tiruvannamalai

Two labourers were killed and two others rescued after soil collapsed during the construction of a 40-foot deep farm well in Kasthambadi village, Tiruvannamalai. The deceased workers, identified as B. Selvamani and V. Ravindran, were hired by a retired Army man to dig the well for irrigating his 20-acre farmland. The collapse occurred due to loosened soil after recent rains. Firefighters retrieved the bodies, and the injured were hospitalised. A case has been registered, and further investigation is ongoing.

तिरुवन्नामलाई के कास्थम्बाडी गांव में 40 फुट गहरे खेत के कुएं की खुदाई के दौरान मिट्टी धंसने से दो मजदूरों की मौत हो गई और दो अन्य को बचा लिया गया। मृतक मजदूरों की पहचान बी. सेल्वामणि और वी. रविंद्रन के रूप में हुई है, जिन्हें एक रिटायर्ड आर्मी के जवान ने अपनी 20 एकड़ की खेती योग्य जमीन की सिंचाई के लिए कुआं खोदने के लिए काम पर रखा था। हाल की बारिश के बाद ढीली मिट्टी के कारण यह हादसा हुआ। दमकलकर्मियों ने शवों को निकाला और घायलों को अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया। मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है और आगे की जांच जारी है।
