Union Sports Minister Urges Federations to End Infighting and Focus on Long-Term Goals

Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya met with National Sports Federations (NSFs) to review Asian Games performances and discuss future strategies. India secured 85 medals, finishing fourth behind China, Japan, and South Korea. Mandaviya urged federations to set aside internal politics and focus on long-term development, including talent scouting and athlete grooming for upcoming events like the LA 2028 Olympics. He stressed the need for more sports psychologists and science experts to support athletes on international stages. The minister also called for increased competitions and honest performance assessments.

केंद्रीय खेल मंत्री मनसुख मंडाविया ने राष्ट्रीय खेल महासंघों (NSFs) के साथ एशियाई खेलों के प्रदर्शन की समीक्षा की और भविष्य की रणनीतियों पर चर्चा की। भारत ने 85 पदक जीते और चीन, जापान और दक्षिण कोरिया के बाद चौथे स्थान पर रहा। मंडाविया ने महासंघों से आंतरिक राजनीति को अलग रखने और प्रतिभा की खोज और आगामी LA 2028 ओलंपिक जैसे आयोजनों के लिए एथलीटों को तैयार करने सहित दीर्घकालिक विकास पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने का आग्रह किया। उन्होंने अंतरराष्ट्रीय मंचों पर एथलीटों का समर्थन करने के लिए अधिक खेल मनोवैज्ञानिकों और विज्ञान विशेषज्ञों की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। मंत्री ने अधिक प्रतियोगिताओं और ईमानदार प्रदर्शन मूल्यांकन का भी आह्वान किया।
