DRI Seizes Cocaine Hidden in Suitcase Handle

DRI officials intercepted a Ugandan national arriving on Qatar Airways flight QR534 in Ahmedabad. Based on intelligence, they detained the passenger and searched his luggage. Although initial searches of the suitcase yielded nothing, DRI officers noticed anomalies in the telescopic handle and plastic support parts. A secret compartment within the handle concealed 981 grams of white powder, later identified as cocaine. The substance was seized under the NDPS Act, and the passenger was arrested.
