Coal India Achieves Record 70 MT Supplies in October, Surpassing Previous Highs

CIL has set a new record by supplying over 70 million tonnes (MT) of coal in October, marking the first time this milestone has been achieved. This represents a significant 19 per cent increase compared to the same month last year. Supplies to the power sector also reached an all-time monthly high of 57.1 MT, crucial as power plants faced critically low coal stocks. This record performance coincides with a broader decline in India's overall coal imports.

कोल इंडिया (CIL) ने अक्टूबर में 70 मिलियन टन (MT) से ज़्यादा कोयले की सप्लाई करके एक नया रिकॉर्ड बनाया है। यह पहली बार है जब यह मुकाम हासिल हुआ है। पिछले साल इसी महीने की तुलना में यह 19 फीसदी की बड़ी बढ़ोतरी है। पावर सेक्टर को सप्लाई भी महीने भर में रिकॉर्ड 57.1 एमटी रही, जो पावर प्लांट्स में कोयले के बहुत कम स्टॉक को देखते हुए बहुत ज़रूरी था। कोयले के आयात में भारत की कुल गिरावट के बीच यह रिकॉर्ड प्रदर्शन हुआ है।
