Vice President to Chair Panjab University's 74th Convocation on December 5

This marks his second visit to the university this year, following an earlier trip in September. The event occurs as the university awaits a regular vice-chancellor and prepares to convene its new senate. Approximately 1,000 students, including 450 PhD scholars, are expected to receive degrees, with top performers receiving gold medals. The university will also present its Ratna awards for significant contributions in various fields.

उपराष्ट्रपति सी पी राधाकृष्णन, जो पंजाब यूनिवर्सिटी के कुलाधिपति (ex officio chancellor) के तौर पर काम करते हैं, 5 दिसंबर को 74वें दीक्षांत समारोह की अध्यक्षता करेंगे। यह इस साल उनकी यूनिवर्सिटी की दूसरी यात्रा होगी, इससे पहले वे सितंबर में आए थे। यह आयोजन ऐसे समय हो रहा है जब यूनिवर्सिटी एक नियमित कुलपति का इंतजार कर रही है और अपनी नई सीनेट बुलाने की तैयारी कर रही है। लगभग 1,000 छात्र, जिनमें 450 पीएचडी स्कॉलर शामिल हैं, डिग्री प्राप्त करने की उम्मीद है, और टॉप प्रदर्शन करने वालों को गोल्ड मेडल दिए जाएंगे। यूनिवर्सिटी विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान के लिए अपने रत्न पुरस्कार भी प्रदान करेगी।
