The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has directed authorities to grant a passport to a Srinagar medical student studying in Iran, whose passport was impounded due to her father's 1997 case. The student had already completed half of her MBBS course at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Kish Campus. The court noted that depriving her of completing the remaining course would jeopardise her career. The High Court stated that authorities can conduct a fresh security audit and impose necessary conditions before reviving the passport.
