Kolkata Retail Leasing Doubles in Q3 to Record High, High Streets Lead Demand

Kolkata's retail leasing activity reached a quarterly record high in the third quarter, experiencing more than a twofold increase and a 69% rise compared to the same period last year. High streets dominated leasing, accounting for 94% of the total volume due to limited availability in Grade A malls. Fashion, accessories, and lifestyle brands drove demand in prominent locations. For the first nine months of the year, retail leasing increased by 46% compared to the previous year, with high streets also leading this trend.
