K.M. Basheer death case trial deferred again

The Thiruvananthapuram Additional District and Sessions Court IV has deferred its decision on resuming the trial in the K.M. Basheer death case. The court is awaiting official information regarding the appointment of a special public prosecutor. The next hearing is scheduled for October 17. The government had decided to appoint advocate A. Santhosh Kumar, but the Kerala High Court temporarily halted proceedings due to a delayed official order.

तिरुवनंतपुरम के अतिरिक्त जिला और सत्र न्यायालय IV ने के.एम. बशीर मृत्यु मामले में मुकदमे की बहाली पर अपना फैसला टाल दिया है। अदालत विशेष लोक अभियोजक की नियुक्ति के संबंध में आधिकारिक जानकारी का इंतजार कर रही है। अगली सुनवाई 17 अक्टूबर को होगी। सरकार ने वकील ए. संतोष कुमार को नियुक्त करने का फैसला किया था, लेकिन केरल उच्च न्यायालय ने देरी से आधिकारिक आदेश के कारण कार्यवाही पर अस्थायी रोक लगा दी थी।
