Foreign Secretary Misri Meets US Lawmakers on Russia

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met a bipartisan US Congressional delegation led by Brian Mast to discuss the Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act (SRIA). The talks also covered the future of India-US ties, energy security, counter-terrorism, and freedom of navigation. The SRIA legislation could impose tariffs on countries purchasing Russian energy, a key concern for India. Misri's meetings also touched upon critical and emerging technologies, semiconductors, and critical minerals, highlighting the broad scope of bilateral cooperation.
