Odisha SI Test Scam: ED Launches Probe, Searches Key Accused's Premises

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has initiated a parallel investigation into the Odisha sub-inspector recruitment test scam, working alongside the CBI. ED teams conducted searches at multiple locations in Bhubaneswar and Berhampur, targeting premises linked to key accused individuals currently in judicial custody. The agency is scrutinizing financial channels, including investments and property purchases, to trace laundered proceeds from the alleged racket. The scam involved candidates reportedly paying up to Rs 25 lakh for leaked question papers, leading to the cancellation of the examination and multiple arrests.

प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ED) ने CBI के साथ मिलकर ओडिशा सब-इंस्पेक्टर भर्ती परीक्षा घोटाले में एक समानांतर जांच शुरू की है। ED की टीमों ने भुवनेश्वर और बेरहमपुर में कई जगहों पर छापेमारी की, जो न्यायिक हिरासत में चल रहे मुख्य आरोपी व्यक्तियों से जुड़े ठिकानों को निशाना बना रही थीं। एजेंसी कथित रैकेट से हुई लॉन्डर की गई रकम का पता लगाने के लिए निवेश और संपत्ति की खरीद सहित वित्तीय चैनलों की जांच कर रही है। घोटाले में कथित तौर पर लीक हुए प्रश्नपत्रों के लिए उम्मीदवारों द्वारा 25 लाख रुपये तक का भुगतान शामिल था, जिससे परीक्षा रद्द कर दी गई और कई गिरफ्तारियां हुईं।
