Surendra Koli, acquitted in all 13 Nithari killings cases, died by suicide, confirmed by his post-mortem report. Uttarakhand Police stated Koli was found dead on September 18 in Haridwar, with the autopsy citing asphyxia due to ante-mortem hanging as the cause of death. No suicide note was recovered, and investigations found no evidence of foul play. Koli had been released from jail on November 12, 2025, and had rented a tea stall.
