The Andhra Pradesh High Court has ordered the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to take over the probe into the alleged custodial death of Gade Sai Krishna. A Division Bench also directed the Director General of Police to hand over case files and initiate disciplinary proceedings against the police officers involved. The court mandated a compensation of ₹25 lakh to be paid to Sai Krishna's mother, Gade Vijayalakshmi. The case, previously investigated by a State government-constituted SIT, has seen allegations of torture and missing CCTV footage, prompting political outrage.

आंध्र प्रदेश हाई कोर्ट ने सीबीआई को गडे साईं कृष्णा की कथित कस्टोडियल मौत की जांच अपने हाथ में लेने का आदेश दिया है। एक डिवीजन बेंच ने पुलिस महानिदेशक को केस फाइलें सौंपने और इसमें शामिल पुलिस अधिकारियों के खिलाफ अनुशासनात्मक कार्रवाई शुरू करने का भी निर्देश दिया। कोर्ट ने साईं कृष्णा की मां, गडे विजयालक्ष्मी को ₹25 लाख का मुआवजा देने का आदेश दिया। राज्य सरकार द्वारा गठित एसआईटी द्वारा पहले जांचे गए इस मामले में यातना और सीसीटीवी फुटेज गायब होने के आरोप लगे हैं, जिससे राजनीतिक गुस्सा भड़क उठा है।
