France24 World · world
North Korea launched approximately a dozen short-range ballistic missiles off its east coast on Thursday, according to South Korea's defence ministry. This action comes amid escalating tensions between the two nations. Pyongyang has significantly increased its weapons testing activities in recent weeks. The launches occurred despite South Korea's recent offer to engage in military talks with the North. This continued testing highlights ongoing regional instability and a lack of de-escalation.
