MakeMyTrip Swings to $1.8 Million Profit in Q2 FY27 Despite Headwinds
Business Standard · business
Nasdaq-listed MakeMyTrip reported a consolidated net profit of $1.8 million for Q2 FY27, a significant turnaround from a $5.7 million net loss in the same period last year. Despite macroeconomic headwinds impacting air ticketing, including high fares and constrained capacity leading to a 4% YoY degrowth in domestic departures, the company's gross bookings increased by 20.9% to $2,724.7 million. IFRS revenue also saw an 11.2% rise to $235.2 million. The company plans to continue investing in hotel supply, viewing outbound travel as a long-term growth opportunity.
