Following severe landslides that disrupted traffic on the Coonoor-Mettupalayam ghat road, two special bus services have been introduced between Coonoor and Burliar. These services aim to assist school and college students, as well as tribal residents, who faced commuting difficulties due to the road closure. The Nilgiris district experienced heavy rainfall last week, leading to multiple landslides, including one that tragically buried a TNSTC bus and killed its driver. Restoration work is ongoing, and the special services will operate until the main route is fully functional again.

ऊटी-मेट्टूपलयम घाट सड़क पर यातायात बाधित करने वाले गंभीर भूस्खलनों के बाद, ऊटी और बुरलीयर के बीच दो विशेष बस सेवाएं शुरू की गई हैं। इन सेवाओं का उद्देश्य स्कूल और कॉलेज के छात्रों के साथ-साथ आदिवासी निवासियों की मदद करना है, जिन्हें सड़क बंद होने के कारण आने-जाने में कठिनाई का सामना करना पड़ा था। नीलगिरि जिले में पिछले हफ्ते भारी बारिश हुई थी, जिससे कई भूस्खलन हुए, जिनमें से एक ने TNSTC बस को बुरी तरह दफन कर दिया था और उसके चालक की मौत हो गई थी। बहाली का काम चल रहा है, और मुख्य मार्ग के पूरी तरह से चालू होने तक विशेष सेवाएं संचालित रहेंगी।
