Delhi Court Restores Family Video Calls for Umar

A Delhi court has restored two video meetings per week for Umar Khalid to speak with his family. Additional Sessions Judge Sameer Bajpai passed the order on July 13, noting Khalid had availed this arrangement for six years without violating prison rules. This decision allows Khalid, who is facing charges in the 2020 Delhi riots case, to maintain crucial family connections during his incarceration.

दिल्ली की एक अदालत ने उमर खालिद को हफ्ते में दो बार अपने परिवार से वीडियो कॉल पर बात करने की इजाज़त दे दी है। एडिशनल सेशंस जज समीर बाजपेई ने 13 जुलाई को यह आदेश दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि खालिद पिछले छह साल से जेल के नियमों का पालन करते हुए यह सुविधा ले रहे थे। इस फैसले से 2020 के दिल्ली दंगों के मामले में जेल में बंद खालिद को अपने परिवार से जुड़े रहने में मदद मिलेगी।
