FIFA Doubles Women's World Cup Prize Money, But Still Trails Men's Tournament

Sky News · world

FIFA intends to double the prize money for the Women's World Cup next year. However, this increase will not fully match the financial rewards offered at the men's tournament. This decision falls short of FIFA President Gianni Infantino's stated ambition to achieve parity between the men's and women's competitions. The exact figures for the new prize money have not yet been disclosed, but the gap between the tournaments' payouts is expected to persist.
