Pune ESIC Medical College Approved For 50 MBBS Seats From 2027-28

Pune's Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Medical College and Hospital in Bibwewadi has received approval from the Union health ministry to start a medical college with 50 MBBS seats. This expansion, set to begin from the 2027-28 academic year, follows two rounds of proposal reconsideration and is seen as a significant boost for medical education in the region. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis credited his intervention for securing the clearance. Additionally, a proposed 500-bed hospital at the site is nearing completion, expected by December, which will further strengthen Pune's healthcare infrastructure.

पुणे के बिबवेवाड़ी स्थित एम्प्लॉईज़ स्टेट इंश्योरेंस कॉर्पोरेशन (ESIC) मेडिकल कॉलेज और अस्पताल को केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय से 50 MBBS सीटों के साथ मेडिकल कॉलेज शुरू करने की मंजूरी मिल गई है। यह विस्तार, जो 2027-28 शैक्षणिक वर्ष से शुरू होने वाला है, प्रस्ताव पर दो बार पुनर्विचार के बाद आया है और इसे क्षेत्र में मेडिकल शिक्षा के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण बढ़ावा माना जा रहा है। मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने मंजूरी दिलाने में अपनी भूमिका का श्रेय दिया। इसके अतिरिक्त, साइट पर प्रस्तावित 500-बिस्तरों वाला अस्पताल दिसंबर तक पूरा होने वाला है, जो पुणे के स्वास्थ्य ढांचे को और मजबूत करेगा।
